The Near Umbra (also known as; The Dreaming) is a blanket term for the area of existence closest to [Earth Realm] - it is a dream-like place, but one rooted firmly in the reality perceptions of the person entering it (that is to say a Human from Earth Realm will see it much as they see everyday life on Earth Realm (although... not exactly...).
