The Cartel

Introduction

The Cartel is a criminal organization that operates outside of Imperial law within The Endless City. The principal activities of The Cartel include the smuggling of people, valuable and or magical artifacts, weird and illicit substances, assasinations, extortion, and arms trading. The Cartel is run by [[[The Demon Prince]]] and is rumored to extend influence into [[[Earth Realm]]] although to what extent and in what capacity is unknown (the main thought is that The Cartel smuggles artifacts from the Otherside to buyers on Earthrealm). The goal of The Cartel is unknown beyond its obvious intent to retain the Empire within an Empire it has forged for itself within The Endless City.

It is the official policy of The Fae Houses (and subsequently The Empire at large) that they have no interest in "regulating" the Cartel although their activities often place them at odds with lower-level authorities (such as the Endless City [[[Bastard Squad]]].
