Introduction

Lord Echo is the God of Leading Astray (also known as; The Magic Rabbit, Du Hexen Hase, The White Rabbit, etc). He is a powerful, ancient often malevolent Fae outcast and anarchist who has found a place as leader of one of the Four Houses of The Endless City known as "The Order of Echo" - a play on intent as Echo is as close to an embodiment of pure chaos as there ever has been). Since the creation of The Endless City and The Grand Empire of Concordia establishing dominion in the Era of Concordia Echo has been a shadowy figure in the background of political squabbles rarely showing himself but prone to using agents such as his right hand Paper Tiger and his left hand The Wolf.

Historically Echo was probably a distant supporter of The Shadow Court but immediately renounced any affiliation to existing powers and fought for The Treaty during The War of The Dreaming (he was specifically sent for by the Fae elders when they realised the scope of the invasion by The Nothing and he was retrieved at great cost from The Far Umbra by Indigo herself). During the war Echo was personally responsible for many victories against The Nothing - often where other Fae Lords and Ladies had failed and subsequently died. Despite his chaotic and anarchistic leanings, Echo is a loyalist and a true believer in The God-Emperor. That said, Echo is motivated only by mischief, he is an unpredictable and extremely dangerous entity.

Description

Echo like most powerful Fae takes many forms although they are always in some way related to the symbology of "the rabbit". He can appear as benign or downright frightening depending on his motivations and intent. On the battlefield, during the War of The Dreaming he took the form of a huge (10 feet tall) rabbit-headed human-shaped warrior or a cloud of black smoke (often shifting between these forms in combat). Echo's main power is chaos and the manipulation of such to achieve both stated goals and general chaos (which is indeed, a stated goal in his case). Broadly speaking Echo is a very powerful practitioner of "probability" altering magic both in The Otherplace and history tells us The Earth Realm (to which he has been a frequent historical visitor).

Perhaps the most frightening thing about Echo is that he is not a free agent. He is aligned to a mysterious Godlike entity known only as Eris.
